The internal conflict between the professional and ulama factions in PAS has reached a boiling point, threatening to fracture the party. While tensions have been simmering for years, it was the Selangor Menteri Besar crisis that finally thrust this struggle into the national spotlight– helped, of course, by a mass media eager to highlight the opposition’s internal discord.
So, the big question: Can Pakatan Rakyat survive this?
It is really weird that Apple’s announcements are always called keynotes. I remembered times when a keynote meant the most important speech that always underscores the theme of an event. It is supposed to precede an event. Apple’s Special September Event is just that– an event where the only thing happening was the keynote.
Tun Dr. Mahathir has once again stirred controversy– this time by defending his recent remarks about laziness and how it supposedly plagues a particular race in Malaysia.
When, oh when, can we discuss issues in this country without dragging race into it?
The cast for Star Wars: Episode 7 was recently revealed by StarWars.com. Returning to their original roles are Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker as Luke, Han, Leia, C-3P0, Chewbacca and R2-D2.
